The Glenrothes Distillery founded in 1879 is situated in the heart of Speyside beside the Burn of Rothes, its water source, which flows from the Mannoch Hills into the River Spey. Although the vintage bottlings of Glenrothes are bottled as single malts it is also an important single in blends such as Cutty Sark and Famous Grouse. Unlike most single malt Scotch distillers they do not bottle standard aged bottlings, but wait until they deem the whisky to be at its peak and bottle it with a year designation similar to vintage wines.
Rack your brains for the big moment in your life and send it in for your chance to win a trip to magical Scotland. For a view of some the amazing landscapes of Scotland click on the Landscapes link. Cheers!
